Perched across from the Pacific Ocean, this lakeside course has played host to five U.S.Opens. As members and their guests walk down the promenade to the Grill, they will be greeted by a sense of celebration and nostalgia. Custom commemorative plaques highlighting years of importance, are seamlessly integrated into the floor, while historic photography adorn the corridor walls. Allowing patrons to step into the past, while walking toward the future of the club.

As the ‘Country House’ of the Olympic Club, the Grill channels a sense of casual elegance that invites members to come in and stay awhile with its warm tones and comfortable ambiance.

Textiles and architectural materials are inspired by the game of golf itself. Having opened its doors in the 1920’s, the Olympic Club Lakeside Grill draws materiality from the turn-of -the-century golf-wear with its heavy tweeds and subtle patterns and box pleats. While wood tones and a mixture of metals are drawn from the fabrication of the game’s equipment.

Throughout the bar and restaurant, the Grill will highlight integral members, years, and events through gallery walls and trophy cases, encouraging a sense of pride to patrons of the club.

The layout of the Grill will open up, so members can take respite from a long game by relaxing and connecting with others all while gazing out onto the views of the course.
