The public space renovation of the Carmel Mission Inn includes 8,350 square feet of courtyard, lobby reception and lounge space, and restaurant and bar. Nestled across from Carmel River State Beach off Highway One, Carmel Mission Inn is inspired by the lush landscape, rich history, vibrant art scene, cozy coastal cottages, hidden courtyards, and unique ‘Bohemian Life’ all of which weave the story of Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Playful elements, local materials, and warm layered textures welcome the guest, while one of a kind objects are discovered through vintage doors, local artwork, and distinct motifs that make the guest look, then look again.

The entry courtyard is an outdoor oasis where guests can warm by the cozy fire, play a game of bocce, or lounge with appetizers and a beverage from the nearby restaurant and bar.
