Daniels long-standing interest in collaborative design innovation extends back to his experience at Gensler, where he served on various showroom and prototype design teams for clients such as Volkswagen, Mazda, Lincoln, Ford, and General Motors. Later, whilst at Axis Architecture + Design, he applied his background in branding and commercial architecture to restaurant and hospitality projects. In 2003 Daniel founded Arcsine to pursue a hands-on collaborative approach to the design, detailing and construction of restaurant, hospitality, workplace, and retail projects. Along with partner Adam Winig and the dynamic team at Arcsine, Daniel facilitates a vibrant studio environment that produces client-artist-architect-fabricator driven work. This process develops spaces that highlight the innate success of the design charrette and fabrication process. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and is a licensed architect.
