At Arcsine, we don’t take our design or coffee lightly.
We often find ourselves meeting at local coffee shops to discuss current and upcoming projects (looking at you, Modern Coffee). It is important for us to be galvanized by our surroundings, and in beautiful downtown Oakland, California there is much by which to be inspired. Specifically, the depth and breadth of mural work throughout this city keeps us on our feet. You never know when you’ll get inspired by the A’s Stomper or encounter a dragon.
This morning we were ignited by a mural on 15th Street and Franklin, created by Love Oakland Group. Grand swaths of oranges gradate to brilliant canary yellow through the white and black strokes of the dragon’s claws and scalloped scales invoking a palette of bright yellows, oranges and reds anchored by cooler denim blues, greys, and earthy wood and clays.
