On most Fridays you’ll be able to catch at least a few members of our team grabbing lunch at the Old Oakland Farmers’ Market.
We are continuedly excited by the great vibrance and energy from the smells, tastes, and sights. Between bites of Reem’s Classic on Man’oushe, our eyes wander to the brilliant purples, greens, and orange colors of the fresh red onions, carrots and peppers. Overflowing buckets of white and pink flowers pervade many of the stands providing even more to smell and see; vibrant pink, dusty rose, and pale lily whites add to the overall experience.
Our interiors team’s creativity was spurred to create a palette from their latest journey to the farmers’ market; the vegetables and flowers enkindle both boldness and ephemerality. Lace, moss, and wire glass reflect the light and delicate floral textures and translucency. Playfully embroidered vegetables on upholstery fabric reflects the light heartedness of the farmer’s market experience. Bright green and orange colors of the Fireclay tiles become an accent to these lighter elements. This light and airy palette is grounded with natural finished Oak, dark woven rattan, and slate grey concrete.
